About the Conference

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation (“HKIHT”) and the Highways Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HyD”), the inaugural ICRR was successfully held in 2025. The conference attracted over 800 distinguished delegates, including government officials, leading academics, and industry executives. Building on this exceptional foundation, ICRR 2027 aims to further strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a leading global knowledge hub for transport infrastructure, while enhancing engagement and impact through expanded international participation and exchange.

Aligned with Hong Kong’s strategic vision to develop smarter, greener and more resilient transport infrastructure, ICRR 2027 is themed “Innovate·Collaborate·Refine·Relay” . It will serve as a premier platform for exchanging global and local expertise, sharing innovative practices, and forging cross-border collaborations to address emerging challenges in road and railway development. Through these synergies, we aim to advance sustainable and connected transport solutions for Hong Kong and the wider region.
